Capture the front, left side, right side, rear, cab and bucket. Make sure each view is clear and shows the machine condition.

Side 1
Full length side profile. Keep tracks/wheels and boom in frame.
Side 2
Opposite full length side profile.
Back
Capture the counterweight and rear, tail lights and warning signs.
Bucket / Attachment
Show the bucket teeth, cutting edge and quick hitch / attachment.
Cab
Interior cab view showing controls, seat and displays.
Where faults are found advise your Site Supervisor immediately. DO NOT use the machine until suitable remedial actions have been taken.

Controls working and free from obstruction (including footwell)
Seat secure, seat belt operational

Lights, indicators, electrical systems clear and in good order
Wheels, tyres and pressures, track tension, brakes
Wheel nut indicators fitted and satisfactory
Sprockets, rams, tensioners
Hooks, forks, and lift attachments
Pipes and hoses - no leaks
Water, fuel, oil levels and no leaks
Grease levels
Steering and levers
Bucket teeth and cutting-edge blade
Bucket pins and linkage
Height and slew limiter
Inclinometer
GPS checked for line and level
Lifting duty chart displayed
Decals / hazard warnings clear and legible
Rated capacity indicator / limiter
SWL on jib and duty chart internally
Operators' manual and quick hitch instructions in the cab
NRMM compliant (Greater London only)
Service record in machine and up to date
Thorough examination certificate in date
